A Joyful, Festival Style Wedding at Settlers Rest | Tayla & Peter

We had the pleasure of catering Peter and Tayla’s wedding at Settlers Rest in Howes Valley, a celebration that truly felt like its own little festival.
Set amongst lush paddocks and surrounded by trees, Settlers Rest created the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was full of energy, connection and joy. The couple leaned into this atmosphere, incorporating glamping tents for their guests and creating a space where everyone could relax, celebrate and stay the night. It felt less like a traditional wedding and more like a weekend experience, exactly what Peter and Tayla had envisioned.
We began our service with a selection of canapés, giving guests the chance to mingle, explore the space and ease into the celebration. As the evening unfolded, guests moved into the main dining experience where we served an abundant banquet feast down the centre of the tables. This style of dining suited the atmosphere perfectly, encouraging sharing, conversation and a relaxed flow throughout the night.

Alongside the food, our horse float bar was in full swing, delivering an eight hour drinks service that kept the celebration going from start to finish. The day began with one and a half hours of cocktail service, setting the tone before the ceremony. From there, guests enjoyed a full evening of drinks including beer, wine, champagne and mixed spirits, all served by our bar team.
It was a vibrant and memorable celebration to be part of, and a perfect example of how a wedding can feel when it’s designed around experience, atmosphere and bringing people together.
