Sara & Brock’s Beautiful Wedding at Settlers Rest

On 12 September 2026, Sara and Brock celebrated their wedding at Settlers Rest with 86 of their favourite people.
It was one of those beautiful spring days that made the most of everything Settlers Rest has to offer. The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful and, most importantly, everyone had plenty of time to relax, catch up and enjoy being together.
Cocktail Hour in the Courtyard
We started our service during cocktail hour, with the Wild Ivory Mobile Bar serving drinks for guests as they arrived and settled into the celebrations.
Cocktail hour is always such a lovely part of a wedding day. It gives everyone a chance to grab a drink, catch up with family and friends and enjoy the excitement of the day before sitting down for dinner.
With the beautiful Settlers Rest grounds surrounding them, guests had plenty of space to mingle and enjoy the afternoon.

Parmesan & Mushroom Arancini, thyme & truffle aioli
Teriyaki Chicken Gyoza, mint, miso mayo & toasted seeds
Braised Beef Sliders, bbq sauce, aged cheddar & pickled cabbage
Banquet Proteins:
Slow Cooked Chicken, salsa verde & radish
Braised Lamb Shoulder, mint & garlic tzatziki
Banquet Hot Sides:
Roasted Pumpkin, cabbage jam & dukkah
Garlic Roasted Potatoes, rosemary & eshallot salt
Banquet Cold Sides:
Pear, parmesan, leaves & caramelised balsamic
An Abundant Banquet in the Courtyard
As the afternoon continued, guests made their way to the courtyard for an abundant banquet-style main course.
There is something about a banquet that works particularly well for a wedding like this. Food is shared around the table, conversations continue and the meal becomes another part of the celebration.
With 86 guests gathered together, the courtyard had a wonderful atmosphere as everyone settled in for dinner.
A Beautiful Day at Settlers Rest
Sara and Brock's wedding was a lovely example of what makes an outdoor wedding at Settlers Rest so special.
The beautiful weather meant guests could make the most of the courtyard and gardens, while the relaxed format gave everyone plenty of opportunity to spend time together.
Guests could enjoy a drink, catch up with friends and family, share a meal and simply be present for the celebration.
And sometimes, that's exactly what makes a wedding day so memorable.
