Ilisha & Michael’s Wedding at McGuigan House

On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, Ilisha and Michael celebrated their wedding at McGuigan House in the Hunter Valley, surrounded by 97 of their favourite people.
With beautiful weather, classic styling and an elegant atmosphere, it was a wonderful setting for a midweek wedding. All-white flowers and fresh green foliage brought a timeless feel to the day, creating a beautiful backdrop for the celebrations.
Courtyard Cocktails & Oysters
The celebrations began in the courtyard, where guests could enjoy a drink, mingle and make the most of the beautiful weather.
Our team served roaming canapés and created an oyster bar for guests to enjoy, while the team at Wild Ivory Mobile Bar kept the cocktails flowing with lychee martinis and margaritas. It was a lovely way for everyone to settle into the celebrations, catch up with friends and family, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere before dinner.
Elegant Alternate Drop Dining
For their seated meal, Ilisha and Michael chose alternate drop dining for both their entrée and main course.
Alternate drop is a lovely option for couples looking for a more formal, restaurant-style dining experience. Each course is beautifully presented and served directly to guests at the table, bringing a sense of occasion to the meal.
With two dishes selected for each course, guests receive one of the chosen options as it's served around the table. It adds a little variety to the dining experience while allowing everyone to sit back, enjoy their meal and take in the celebrations.
It was a beautiful fit for this wedding.

A Night of Celebration
After dinner, the celebrations continued with guests dancing the night away.
One of the best parts of a wedding is seeing everyone come together to celebrate the couple. With the formalities of dinner complete, guests could relax, enjoy the evening and make the most of having so many special people in one place.
Ilisha and Michael’s wedding was a lovely example of how thoughtful styling, great food and a well-planned dining experience can work together to create a memorable day.
