Annabelle and Benjamin’s Settlers Rest Wedding

On 15 November, we had the pleasure of catering for Annabelle and Benjamin as they celebrated their wedding at the charming Settlers Rest in Howes Valley. The weather could not have been more perfect for a spring wedding. Warm sunshine, a gentle breeze and a ceremony set beneath open sky surrounded by trees. It created the most peaceful setting for their day.

Their celebration began with three of our canapés, enjoyed by their family and friends as everyone mingled and soaked in the atmosphere. It was the perfect way to ease into the afternoon and set the tone for the feast ahead.

Dinner was served as an abundant banquet for their 102 guests. Everyone helped themselves to generous platters placed along the tables, creating a relaxed and social dining experience. Banquet service always brings such warmth to a wedding, and this one was no exception.

We were also joined by Wild Ivory who led the bar service for the evening, offering beer, wine and champagne to keep glasses full throughout the celebration. The combination of good food, good drinks and a beautiful venue made it a truly memorable wedding.

Canapés: 

Braised Beef Sliders, bbq sauce, cheddar & pickled cabbage

Hand Rolled Harissa Lamb Sausage Rolls, hummus & sumac

Parmesan & Mushroom Arancini, thyme & truffle mayo

Protein: 

Braised Lamb Shoulder, mint & garlic tzatziki

Slow Cooked Pork Belly, caramelised apple chutney & jus

Hot Side: 

Garlic Roasted Potatoes, rosemary & eshallot salt

Roasted Pumpkin, cabbage jam & dukkah

Cold Side Dishes: 

Roma Tomato, cucumber, chickpea, feta & basil dressing
